INITIAL BUBBLES
I’ll be quite honest, I’m not sure where the White Heart Bath Bomb is from. I bought it and put it aside. It had a Fruits & Passion bow cinching the top of the plastic wrapper. On the other side, it was also in a paper bag by the Face Shop. Thinking I could have put it in any other bag, I went with Fruits & Passion as the bow was directly attached to the bath bomb. At the time of writing, this product seems no longer available online.
THE WHITE HEART BATH
Let’s be honest. A plain white heart of a bath bomb didn’t spark joy for me. I put it in the water reluctantly expecting it to be another clear bath with barely a scent to speak of.
My heart sank just as the bath bomb did. It went straight to the bottom of the tub. The bath bomb itself, I thought, might have had something peachy coloured on it, and wasn’t entirely a pure white, if such a thing could exist. This bath bomb had a LOT of kick to it. Bubbling a lot, it resurfaced quickly to the top of the water aaaaaand… it sank back down. During the bubbling, I thought I saw fluorescent white clouds coming up. My first thought was it was simply the spot lights above the bath that were reflecting on the creamy white bath water, but when I put my hand between the water and the light, I realized it wasn’t that. Thoughout this, the white heart kept going up and down.
By the end, I didn’t even know if the bath bomb had finished fizzing. It fizzed super fast by bath bomb standards.
The bath itself was wonderful. I went into it expecting the water to be clear, but to my great surprise this white heart made for a milky and opaque bath, reminiscent of the Nagashima Resort onsen water.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: Smells fruity and very lush-like
Opacity: Completely opaque at the bottom of the bath
Final colour: Milky white!
Verdict: You know what? This is a no-nonsense bath bomb. I loved it as it reminded me of my onsen experience in Japan and I would definitely get more where and when they’ll be available again.
