INITIAL BUBBLES
The Sex Bomb Bath Bomb by Lush was a surprise from my partner. He visited the Lush boutique and procured this recommended bath creation from a pleasant employee. I’ll say that upon first inspection of the orb itself, it easily lands in my top 3 most beautiful globe-shaped bath bombs. The flower budding from the middle of the handmade creation peekaboos just enough to make you wonder what else might be inside!
FUN FACT ABOUT THE COLOUR RED
Amongst the list of ingredients, we find the Red 4 colourant. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know where Lush sources this ingredient. It is worthy to note however that it is usually derived from a cochineal, an insect native to the Americas.
THE SEX BOMB BATH
I hovered the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb over the water for a few instances, pre-mourning its disappearance yet anticipating the warm bath I was about to take with it! As I submerged the bath orb, it began to emit clouds of pink! Hints of purple were present during the initial fizzing, but the pink quickly became overpowering. The dissolving process happened so fast, I feared I wouldn’t have time to take any proper action shots! It sunk. Rose and purple cotton-like clusters were rising to the surface. Midway through the fizzing, a rosebud floated to the top of the bath. A perfect little surprise in this magical pink wonderland.
In about a minute and a half, the beautiful creation was gone, the only reminder of its existence being the bright pink waters and the floating soap rose.
In the bath, I played around quite a bit with the rose until it too became one with the bathwater.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: Rose scented/flower scented;
Opacity: the bottom of the tub was hard yet still possible to distinguish;
Final colour: taffy pink;
Verdict: Lovely bath bomb is lovely! I enjoyed the surprising emergence of the rose from the bath bomb. Yet again, this Lush bath bomb does not disappoint!
