Time for…. COMFORT food!
I’m always on the lookout for more and new dehydrated miso packets. My go-to snack soup when I’m tired from a long day of work (or writing)!
I have a strong affinity for Japanese food and snacks. My two trips to that country have introduced me to a variety of new culinary experiences.
Miso soup is something I fell in love with quite easily. Present at several Japanese or East Asian restaurants here in Montreal, it’s super easy to come by.
Creating miso soup from scratch using miso paste and getting that rich taste can take a bit of time. If you’re in the mood for instant comfort, look no further.
A cup of water in a water boiler, mixed with this packet will give you a delightful snack in seconds. The saltiness? On point. Wakame? Not overpowering and just right. Add to that the scallions and the few pieces of dehydrated tofu and this snack is complete.
To note, nothing beats fresh tofu, so feel free to add some of your own to this soup!
