INITIAL BUBBLES
The Island Juice Bath Bomb was discovered when I was on a little trip to Niagara Falls this fall (keep an eye out for those articles!). I decided to look up local bath bomb shops to see what was made in the area and came across Truth Niagara. I messaged them and was told I can come by the warehouse to buy the bath bombs.
The store, about 30 mins away from the Falls, was in a full bustling mode as they seemed to be prepping orders. I picked a few bath bombs and here we are. (More about Truth Niagara in my upcoming posts!)
FUN FACTS ABOUT PINEAPPLES
PINEAPPLES! English happens to be one of the few languages where the fruit is named so, whereas we see the term “ananas” or some similar iteration almost everywhere else.
They are a plant that grows in the middle of a small bush in the ground and each plant brings forth only one pineapple in its lifetime. It does however produce little “sprouts”: suckers at the base of the plant and slips closer to the pineapple itself.
To note lastly, it is much cheaper to buy a fresh pineapple rather than a pre-cut one (where the price can be almost double!!)!
THE BATH
Before putting the bath bomb into the water, I find it interesting to think about the final colour. In this case, with such a beautiful combination of colours on the actual bath bomb, a bright yellow or orange felt right for this bath! However, logically, since the soapy creation was blue, orange, and yellow, I should be expecting a dark purple.
To note, this bath bomb was used as two pieces as opposed to just one, as I probably accidentally mishandled it along the way (I’m clumsy and guilty as charged!).
Putting this bath bomb into the water, it sunk and immediately shot up! Very slowly, the colours started emanating from the bath bomb. Initially, a whiff of blue and yellow came out of the pineapple body along with several bubbles as it moved across the water. I added the pineapple head and the water kept getting greener.
In the end, the colour was a murky green. The bath itself was pretty hydrating. I would just advise people to exercise caution when exiting the bath however because that hydration comes with a downside of a slippery bath.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: earthy smell in the bath with hints of sweetness;
Opacity: very opaque;
Final colour: a mix of chartreuse and dark lime colours;
Verdict: I truly think that supporting your local businesses is the key to a good economy, and to togetherness in society. That said, for about 5$ (when you buy a certain amount), this bath bomb is definitely one I’d pick over one made by a big corporation. The final colour was unexpected and the hydrating qualities of the bath bomb are definitely key points I appreciated! For a magical Truth Niagara bath bomb, I suggest seeing the Polyjuice Cauldron Bath Bomb.
