INITIAL BUBBLES
This space-themed bath bomb was discovered in the Outer Layer shop, a gift boutique in Toronto, on Queen’s street. At first glance, what attracted me to this bath bomb was the packaging where it was nestled.
Little slogans like “Relax and Prosper” reminiscent of Star Trek’s Vulcan salutation and “To Recycling and Beyond” giving a cheeky wave at Toy Story are definitely what sold me on this bath bomb.
The bath bomb itself is a mix of green, pink, and purple possibly hinting at a small earth-like planet. I was ready to try this bath bomb’s “astronomical bathing powers”.
FUN FACT ABOUT TOY STORY
Toy Story Trivia!! Steve Jobs who was the chair of Pixar at the time, was able to pull off something that hadn’t been done before: Toy Story 1 became the first completely computer-animated movie.
THE BATH
This bath bomb needed to be placed in running water. In the same manner as the Hershey’s bath bomb, it sunk to the bottom of the bath and started bubbling. A forest green cloud materialized in the water. Combined with the pumice-like look of the bath bomb at the bottom of the tub, it definitely pulled off the earthy quality to the experience.
Once the bath bomb was diluted into the running water, the end colour was a minty one!
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: Pear scented; pretty strong smell initially but ebbed off as time passed;
Opacity: pretty opaque, the bottom of the tub is easily visible once the bath bomb has finished fizzing
Weight: 109.2g
Final colour: Listerine’s Cool Mint colour
Verdict: This fun cheeky packaging shelters a colourful space-themed bath bomb; for the price, there are more strong scented bath bombs out there, that offer a better “show” when inserted into the bath. However, it was original enough that I’d want to get my hands on the rest of this collection!
Unfortunately, this bath bomb is no longer unavailable, as stated on the website that holds Yes Studio products. We found it in the Outer Layer store for 6.95$.
