INITIAL BUBBLES
I have had this classic train bath bomb for a couple of years now (maybe 2 or 3). I have not wanted to use it up because it looks too beautiful to use. It still definitely is. But, it’s tempted me enough to give it a try. It still smells as good as it did when I first got it, a clear testament to its quality.
MY THOUGHTS ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
I love trains, easy and convenient, a mode of transportation where you’ve got your own private driver! What’s not to love? As a younger person, I used to love the idea of a car and the convenience of having your own vehicle. Presently and after having travelled vastly, I can say that the car is more of a shackle than a blessing, at least in big cities. Finding and paying for parking in a city as jam-packed as Montreal (or even worse, Toronto!) is an anxious driver’s nightmare. Although my city of Montreal isn’t perfect by any means, the long strides made to improve the public transit system and to make cities more bike-able are commendable. So, this bath is an ode to this love for public transit, and my favorite method… the train!
However, I would like to slightly amend my previous paragraph. I retain my initial thought that cars are convenient, but simply if one lives in remote or rural areas where bike paths and public transit aren’t readily available yet.
THE CLASSIC TRAIN BATH BOMB
Sadly, I’d cracked the top of the bath bomb before I was able to use it, so some embeds were revealed within it. When I placed it in the water, an explosion of colours ensued. Quickly, the top of the bath became covered in a white soapy foam, with the embeds floating on the surface. When I hopped into the water, I noticed it glittered! The bath looked to be the colour of red wine if watered down. I played around with embeds that temporarily stained my body and fingers bright blue! At the end of the bath that I spent a couple of hours in, I ended up being stained in what I could only describe as “soot” from the train, but it was easily washed off.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: very slight rosy smell
Opacity: bottom of the bath completely opaque
Final colour: dark grape
Verdict: This bath bomb was lots of fun! However, the bath is easily stained black from the bath bomb colour and needs cleaning. It might also have had to do with the fact that I was in the bath for a couple of hours.
