The Basic Olive Chick is what I call myself. I’m a young middle-eastern woman with olive skin.
During the day, I have a serious job that I love and adore doing, but in the evenings or on my days off, I pursue my passions. I write. I read. I take pictures. I travel. I eat. I take baths. I create new things.

This website is my journey, as a middle eastern woman, discovering the world, enjoying it, and taking you along for the ride, mistakes and all! I take a page from Albert Camus’s book when I agree that some places I’ve visited have been so beautiful they have brought me to tears. I intend on sharing these places and experiences and hope someone else out there can also live to the point of tears.
