INITIAL BUBBLES
When I first started my bath bomb series, I did not intend on getting into bubble baths. I viewed them as a thing from childhood, like rubber duckies. I now know that I was wrong on both fronts. Both rubber duckies and bubble baths are a thing to enjoy. Staying young and enjoying the simple pleasures of life, like a bubble bath, are a must! So here I am trying my first ever bubble bar, the Love Potion Bubble Bar by Lush.
THE BATH
The Love Potion bubble bath bar from Lush was yet another gift of my partner’s. I had had back pain for a few days by now and the ache was crippling to the point where walking was a daunting task. Baths help immensely.
We put the Love Potion under running warm water and it burst almost instantly with bubbles and a vivid lime green rush of colour. The scent of flowers and… love (hey, why not!) envelops you nicely but not violently as you get into the bath. When the bubbles fade you get to admire a nice shimmery verdant water.
I’ve now taken so many baths using the Love Potion and even managed to convince my partner that smelling like a field of flowers was a desirable feat.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Scent: Floral scent;
Opacity: Pretty translucent, but a decent amount of colour fills the entire bath top to bottom.
Final Colour: Lime
Verdict: Foams well, scent relaxes and gives a chance to reminisce of simpler times.
Overall, definitely bang for your buck! I got to experience 3 baths with the same love potion until now and I look forward to many more as the bubble bar is still a decent size.
